My Strategy for Steemit

I am not interested in a get-rich-quick-scheme and I will be okay if I don't get rich on Steemit but I want to be an active member of this community, and I want to do it in a way that adds to the health & wealth of my family. So in order to do that, I developed a strategy...
I ONLY FOLLOW PEOPLE I LIKE:
- STEP 1) I take this a little bit to the extreme but I don't think it's an unhealthy case of being extreme. I only follow people I like. If I follow someone and they post something I don't like there is a good chance I will unfollow them. I might make an exception if 1 or 2 of their posts are off but if they start consistently posting or resteeming posts that I am not interested in, I will definitely unfollow them. This keeps my feed clean so that I can enjoy reading, commenting and upvoting the people I like.
I SUPPORT THE PEOPLE I LIKE:
- STEP 2) Some people might focus solely on creating content but I am more interested in building friendships. I have created content consistently before (YouTube) but it lacked the social interaction and friendship that I desire. This time I am producing content but I spend more of my time finding and maintaining friendships (i.e. upvoting, commenting and reading). It helps me find friends on Steemit and makes the workload managable since it's easier to upvote, comment and read sometimes instead of writing non-stop without breaks.
I DEDICATE TIME FOR WRITING EVERYDAY:
- STEP 3) I actually learned this from @kenmelendez He publishes a new post almost everyday on Steemit and advised his followers to do the same. I also know from experience that consistency is key to becoming successful online, but I also want to avoid becoming entirely centered around success. So instead of making sure I publish a new post everyday, I just commit 20 to 30 minutes (at least) everyday towards writing and content production. It's an amount of time that I am comfortable with and it won't harm my health, or get in the way of me spending time with my family. If I cannot finish a blog post in that time and my duties as a husband and father require my attention, I turn the laptop off and get back to my daily responsibilities. Balance is crucial since I want to become successful on Steemit but I don't want to pay for it with my health, or the health of my marriage and family. This will keep my work on Steemit sustainable in the long-run and it will add to the health & wealth of my wife @emaferice, son @zaclucasrice and family.
Here are some of the people I like, support & follow on Steemit: @ayerz @mhm-philippines @ronafe @razu788 @helenoftroy @dizzyjay @eoj @alienbutt @brian.rrr @kanoe and @shivaay
That's all for now but I hope you enjoyed reading my strategy for Steemit. Feel free to share your own techniques and give me feedback in the comment section of this post!
Thank you 😊
